I guess I can shed off more seconds with more practice and tinkering with the car’s setup.
Bro, are you using custom setups? It saves precious seconds. Moreover, I’m guessing you’re not aggressive enough at the corners. Good run though.

Good job in Monza. Are you using the dry setup that has the lowest downforce and the highest top speed (the setting on the extreme right?). I used that to set the Monza time so it’s doable. 😎

Another thing. Are you using keyboard? I’m using the 360 controller on the PC. The controller saves off around a second each lap.

i am trying to identify that thing as well bro.All my times are just setted on by playing 5 or 6 laps though.I will try checking the difference by testing with a controller.I am using logitech illuminated keyboard has highly deflated flat buttons though.Dont worry bro i will fix it all up and will give u a challenge soon enough 😛

you can try buying a racing wheel from bcs computer city but they are not gonna be as ergonomic as the G25 though
Never used a racing wheel to play video games in my whole damn life 😳 and i am not a racing fan i just play few 2-3 distinctive racing games a year.I also saw a interview article about you said you like driving and even had a accident 🙄 i think a racing wheel is a must for you to try out F1 2010 rather than the xbox 360 controller 😎

Do you know if Logitechs are available in BD? The other ones don’t give good performance and will get broken in a year. I remember my Genius racing wheel, even if you pressed the accelerator hard it would only register 40%. LOL.
Brazil and Germany are both new tracks to me. I never got past Valencia after my save game got corrupted. Still, will post my times soon! Another thing, it is hard to find F1 racers in BD. 😐
Oh and that crash wasn’t anything major.
My friend in front of me had upgraded his tyre so tons of grip. He braked hard at the airport road speed breaker, I was distracted, braked late and the rest you know 😉 Funny thing, it happened at 30 KM/h 😛

It could be available the other day i saw some Logitech Gaming Mouse on display BCS Computer City.You just gotta search a lot thats all & if ur lucky you may spot one.Yeah F1 isnt a mainstream sport in bd only a few people in bd like it.You were lucky as the speed clocked in @30 KM/h during the crash 💡

Hey bro, I’ve been thinking to post my best lap times of F1 2010 here on GWB. But since I’ve the Xbox 360 version of the game I’m having some problems taking the screenshots of it. So, I could use some help here(if you have any ideas about it, of course!). Okay, the thing is I’ve been trying to take screenshots of F1 2010 from my Xbox 360 using my PC’s built-in capture card for the last 2 days, but I can’t seem to get the work done since it’s a little bit complicated. Since my Xbox 360 is hooked up with my HDTV with a HDMI cable, I’ve used an AV cable (it’s both ends are covered with two male connector, the common one which are mostly used on dvd players) on my HDTV’s AV out to my monitor’s input and used (actually tried!) virtual dub as the software to take screenshots but it didn’t work. 👿 So, I’ve tried using another HDMI cable to connect the both end between my ATI Radeon HD 5570(since it has a Integrated HDMI 1.3 output)and my HDTV, but unfortunately it also didn’t work. 🙁 So, If you know any other way to do it or have any solution to it please tell me or perhaps point out the thing I might have missed during the entire process. However, even after failing for several times I still didn’t give up 😛 and now I’m trying one of those old S-Video cable to see if it works or not. I hope this method works or otherwise I’ll have to get the PC version of F1 2010 to take screenshots of my best lap times and post them here. 😈

That sounds really complicated. Try this: take a snap with your mobile camera (just make sure time is readable and track name) and post it online!

Check out the time in Australia. Mun. Ahamed plays with a racing wheel and 1:21 in Australia compared with 1:26 of mine. Gotta get me a racing wheel! 😈
In my defense, 1:52 with gamepad in Sakhir is really good considering he did 1:51 with racing wheel.

I do play the nfs series,burnout series and some codies game like grid but no games that has a rally theme though like dirt,etc.Good luck on ur times.Post some good lap times with the untouched tracks or the tracks where time isnt setted so that you can get some points to get u running

I’m also using custom car setup 😎 since those quick car setup limits both the player’s ability and car’s ability to get a decent lap time. Besides, it’s almost impossible to beat these scores with a quick car setup.

Bro, why don’t you post some new lap times on other ttacks? Yeah, waiting for sng425 too.
You need to download profiles for Pinnacle. Search their forums for official F1 2010 profile. Once you load the profile, the game will recognise your control inputs.

as i said i did it in the 6th lap and still a whole area of improvement is left as i do not even know each corners of the track…once you know that i will have a 2 sec lead…and one thing you guys keep forgetting is that i use quick setup and did not touch customs at all….a wheel will give you max lead of 1.5 seconds not more than that….keyboard players can keep up…
and try to beat the melbourne,australia time…you will find that you cant even come close to it…not even players who use wheel can keep up with that….thats because melbourne is a track where i played a lot…so if i spend time with other then you will see goodtimes in other tracks too….in f1 the time is all about how familiar you are with a given track….and not only australia try touching 1:19 in monza!
what i mean to say is…i am not the fastest because of my wheel…it is because i can play racing games….i am also a semifinalist in wcg,so not my every time is because of the wheel you know….wheel is a part of it…the rest i will proudly say is my hard work!

everyone tend to think that these times are like this because i have a wheel…..they think if given a wheel they will too be untouchable…but do you know the funny part?…most of them cant even control the car with the wheel….they spin out in every single damn corner….thing is you need more than skill to control a wheel…and i became 6th in wcg 2008 using a keyboard and then i thought of buying a wheel…

We’re sure you’re a pretty good racer, even one of the best in BD. So, no hard feelings!
And you say that “they” spin out every single corner while playing with a racing wheel. Maybe they haven’t had enough practice? It takes a long time getting used to and patience. As I’ve also said in the Banglagamer forum, having a racing whee doesn’t magically make your car go faster, you do need skills for that. So, you’re right.

actually I am currently the 4th one in wcg and also lost to a keyboard player in wcg….so if you are a good enough player even wheels are beaten by keyboard….and i am sorry to burst out like this…but sometimes it gets really annoying and irritating when people tell you “buddy you have a better time because of that g27 of yours.i wish i had one”….so i hope you understand…i have been hearing this thing even when i used to do times in NFS MW…my times there has been consistently faster than a lot of people…you know what people said to the 5th player in wcg who lost to me this time?……..”hey man,its ok,you lost to a g27”

I know how you feel bro. Its normal to get upset if you dont get recognised for your efforts. And I’ll give you this – F1 2010 takes a lot of skills. I mean, even with a racing wheel, I don’t know how you shaved off all those seconds in Australia Melbourne. It does pay to know well about the track. Take example of Waleed. He also knows the tracks very well and beat my times easily. Whereas F1 2010 is the first F1 game that I took seriously
So, there are some tracks that I even haven’t raced on LOL.

skill obviously the main thing, i also appreciate it. keyboard, controller or wheel – these are just tools for your improvement. keyboard is like default tool and here is a certain limit for your improvement and all others are just upgraded versions 🙂 and obviously its also needs skill to control them to have the maximum output.but certainly, it’s not a matter of excuse for sure 😐

I couldn’t have said it better myself. There is no point in upgrading to a racing wheel until you’re have absolutely maxed out the game pad’s potential.

well I did max out a keyboard(i guess)….but not a gamepad…only gamepads i played with will be my ps2 controllers…i could play in manual better in keyboard though….i really wanted to buy the rp2 from logitech(the best gamepad without any questions)…but my shift times were extreme dull with the gamepads and in keyboard its much faster….i played all the previous racing games in manual…prostreet in manual clutch…i play f1 2010 in manual too…but in career…in f1 what i have noticed is…if you want the perfect timing you must play in auto,because if you are 0.5 seconds late in changing the gears then your time is done,which did not happen in other games.
i could have bought the rp2 and i would have…but then my Olevel results came and my dad had to give me what he promised he will give if had 8A’s.But he said he will give me that just after my results which he did not.he gave me the steering wheel a year later(during which i had to nag my father every two days reminding him of the promise he made) and i finally had my g27 😀
