Fallout: New Vegas Has Hardcore Mode With “Special Reward”
Bethesda’s Fallout New Vegas is to award players who attempt its Hardcore mode, with a “special reward.”
According to the description, Hardcore mode greatly increases the challenge of the game. If enabled, stimpacks heal over a period of time and cannot mend broken limbs; Rad-Away removes radiation over time; ammunition has weight, and eating and dehydration is a constant concern.
You may turn off Hardcode at any point in the game, however if you play in Hardcore mode all the way to the end, you will be given a “special reward.”
Fallout: New Vegas releases on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 19 2010 (USA) and October 22 2010 (EU).

If it offers a “special reward” maybe I’ll try out the hardcore mode. 😛 But if it seems to be really “hard” than I just might turn off the hardcore mode. 😉 What about you, bro?

The trick is to have the right followers. I got a mod for Fallout 3 that let me have all the followers. LOL. The hardest difficulty wasn’t hard enough. With New Vegas, I’m sticking with medium settings. But if it proves too easy, I might move up to Hard, not hardcore. 😛
