1.5 Million Nintendo Consloes Sold During Black Friday Week
Well, Black Friday (the huge sales after Thanksgiving) week just went by and according to the company’s internal estimates, a staggering 1.5 million Nintendo consoles were sold.
They moved 900,000 DS units as well as 600,000 Wii consoles between November 21 and November 27, mainly because of all the new colors and bundles.
“US shoppers bought about 9,000 Nintendo hardware systems non-stop for every hour of every day during the week of Black Friday,” said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.
He also said, “For the past several years, consumers have decided that Nintendo defined both top value and all-inclusive entertainment, and that sentiment continues again at the start of this shopping season.”

@GamerKid
You shouldn’t be surprised. Rather you should be surprised that there are so many hardcore gamers since hardcore gamers are a subset of total population.

Wii is such an awesome console my launch unit is still going strong and i absolutely love it. The lack of third party support and HD has limited its capacity still its the best console of this generation in my terms.
