343 Industries Working On HD Halo Remake, Coming 2011

The new 343 Industries is working on the original Halo: Combat Evolved remake.

This news comes in the latest issue of Games Master magazine “industry chatter” section (via CVG), saying that the HD remake could use the Halo: Reach engine and arrive in 2011.

The HD Halo remake is rumored to launch on November 2011, on the first Halo’s tenth anniversary.

Previously, Microsoft had expressed their interest in a Halo remake, saying that they would do it if it “provides real value to the customer.”

Microsoft’s Xbox & Entertainment Director Stephen McGill believes that a Halo: CE HD remake would be “a good idea”.

“I imagine it’s a good idea. I think some people want to go back to older games and see them revisited and I think a lot of developers want to see that too.”

One Response to Industries Working On HD Halo Remake, Coming 2011”

  1. I do not know how to contact 343 industries, but they might like to hear what i have to say. Microsoft gaming industries as well.
I have examined the halo franchise and their affects on the world through my friends and comments on all the videos on YouTube and other websites. Believe me, the people are READY for another Master Chief Halo game. Bungie didnt do so well with Halo Reach’s campaign (according to what i have read and seen on the internet, and my opinion) because they tried to change the gameplay and they took out Cortana and Master Chief. If they went back to Halo 1 and put in better- more modern graphics, and thats IT, then everyone would LOVE the game even more!! Halo 1 and 2 were the more popular from what i have seen! I did like the armor customization though.
