How To Import Original PC, PS3 And Xbox 360 Games From Amazon US To Bangladesh
[Update] MyUSABox has changed their name to Nybox.
Today I’m going to tell you how you can import any PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 games and consoles from Amazon US to Bangladesh. Indeed you can even import consoles, PC hardware and everything from the Amazon store. Al you need is an international credit card.
We all know that Amazon US does not ship these items to Bangladesh. However, there is a US company called Myusabox which is a mail forwarding company. I use this company and subscribe to US video game magazines each month, and often import original games that I don’t find in Bangladesh.
Here is how it works: once you sign up with Myusabox, they give you a US New York address. When shopping with Amazon tell them to ship to the New York address provided by Myusabox.
Once Myusabox receives your item, they will ship it to you via FedEx/DHL. They also provide a tracking number and items usually take around 4 days to arrive in Bangladesh. One note though, you have to pay customs tax on whatever you import.
Here’s how to get your Myusabox account up and running:
1. Head to Myusabox and register
2. You will be charged a one time fee of $15. This will be credited back to your account, so you can use it towards your shipping cost.
3. You will be given an address in the following format:
Your Name
47-47 36th Street
Suite # [Your Unique No.]
Long Island City, NY 11101
4. Once you receive an item, it will show up in your Myusabox account:
5. Click on send item and make payment. Shipping rates to Bangladesh are as follows:
Envelope (26 oz) $33.32
1 lbs $48.45
2 lbs $54.45
3 lbs $63.24
4 lbs $72.29
5 lbs $79.61
Most games come under 1 lbs, and even at 26oz.
6. They will give you a tracking number which you can use to track your package
Here’s how to shop from Amazon US:
1. Sign up for an Amazon account.
2. When choosing a billing address, use your credit card’s Bangladesh billing address (usually your home address)
3. When choosing a shipping address, use your Myusabox address
4. Select the games you want to purchase and checkout
You can even shop from other online retailers, not only Amazon. However, some online retailers require your billing and shipping address to be the same, in which case you cannot use them.

man i know its convinient bt i think its too expensive………Why go to all this trouble i jst tell my dad when he goes there or my aunt there to send it via DHL to FedEx………..I have neva usd these kinds of services as my dad goes to US evry two months……Are they 100% reliable……

Agreed. Once I got Fallout 3 collector’s edition on sale for $30. Spent around $60 on shipping charges. 😈 But you get the peace of mind with DHL/FedEx and a tracking number.

Don’t get your point. You should realize by now that not everyone has relatives abroad. 😛
Plus, its actually more expensive if you contact DHL/FedEx alone to ship your items. The price per pound for companies such as Myusabox is less since the ship a huge volume of items.

Yup! I’ve been using them for a better part of a year and highly recommend it. Plus, I never recommend anything to Gamersworldbd readers that I myself have had problems with or deem to be shady.

First use XLive to determine whether your console is flagged for a ban. I believe I said the same thing to a previous comment of yours. Without data, I can’t say for sure.

I give best regards to the editor, but can this service be used for buying video consoles with warranty?
Also I have something to add: buying a XFX 1GB HD 4850 will cost around 11950.42 with shipping costs where as it should be around 11500 in BD with warranty, even if amazon provides warranty what about the shipping cost of sending it again?

I recommend you not to import any hardware as you will have to pay a lot of import duties. And no, Amazon does not provide warranty to users outside of USA. The console will have warranty. But while sending it back to Amazon you will have to send it from a USA address, meaning your “From” address must be in USA. Not to mention the prohibitive cost of mailing it back to USA from Bangladesh. And Amazon won’t ship it to Bangladesh.

Neat idea. However, I believe importing anything other than disks will be a major pain in the @$$ due to our crazy import taxes. I won an online competition once and I received a free IPOD touch shipped to me via DHL from singapore. But I had to pay almost 20K BDT to get it released from the airport…lol. But it was still worthwhile as the retail price was around 50K back then.
By the way, are the Rock Band Beatles accessories (for xbox360) available in Dhaka in any shop?

I’ve had bad experiences of shops “importing games” for me. If you tell them to import an individual game, at first they appear confident. But they’ll always say to come back tomorrow for price and details. As usual, tomorrow never comes. Also, they can’t make good profit importing individual games. And finding a shop to import original PC games will be really hard.

my aunt(who is in the us) will be visiting bd in maybe june-july and i want her to bring the psp2,which sony will probably announce on the 27th jan.but if it doesnt get released by the time she comes to bd,she will have to mail it to me via fedx or some other mailing service when she gets back there…if she does so,how much is it going to cost me as customs duty??will i be charged so crazy high like ‘dead man rollin’ said?
And what if she brings it with her when she arrives?will she still have to pay anykind of customs duty?i guess not….

hey guys i don’t have a credit card or anything like that so i thought if i can use a ‘Paypal’ id!!!
I know that paypal isn’t available in our country but my friend found a website which he thinks is a branch of paypal.

hi guys, your post helped me a lot……..but how will i know the region of the games if i want to buy from amazon….they didn’t show it their whether its NTSC or PAL…i also tried sof but they had only 5 or 6 games….i didn’t find any shop in bashundhara city keeping original discs of xbox..buying online is the only way for me…so can you please tell me how i can check its NTSC or PAL in amazon….thnxxxx

@The Gaming Wiz/Mushfiqur Rahman . Thx friend after reading this article I felt like it was possible! I Ordered Infamous 2 Hero Edition through amazon then forwarded it to nybox. They were very proffesional and effeciant in their service. Although a tad expensive, but completly worth it. After paying for shipping to Nybox I received the package within 3 days. =). I recommend using nybox, but only for pre-orders and special occasions. Other wise just get a reletive to get if for you. Once again thx for the arcticle, really helped.
