List Of Xbox 360 Games With AP 2.5
AP 2.5 is a new anti-piracy technology included with the Nov 2010 Kinect Dashboard update. As we’ve reported previously, the AP 2.5 technology prevents “backup” games with AP 2.5 from loading on your Xbox 360.
The game will show up just fine in the Dashboard, however once you start the game, you will get a “Disc Unreadable” error.
Here is the list of known Xbox 360 games with AP 2.5:
1. Fable 3 [Link]
2. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood [Link]
3. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) [Link]
4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
5. Call of Duty: Black Ops
6. Halo: Reach
This list of AP 2.5 games will be updated as new AP 2.5 games are found.
Currently, there is no way to play AP 2.5 games. Wait for the IExtreme LT+ firmware which promises to bypass AP 2.5 checks.

Okay Mushfiq brah, I have this question in my mind:
AFAIK AP 2.5 [on New Dashboard] will prevent Only those games which are supposed to have AP 2.5 But do not have as they are backups.
But AP 2.5 wont prevent the ol’ titles because those games do not have that AP 2.5 bypass check on ’em.
Then is not it possible to make backups of new games in such a way that will make the new dashboard/ap 2.5 think that these games are ol’ ones? 😛

First to clear the confusion: Games prior to Fable 3 didn’t have AP 2.5 checks, so those will run regardless of updates/modifications.
Now onto your question: You’re trying to say that burning games which have AP 2.5 in such a way that they do not have AP 2.5? Trick the Xbox 360 into thinking those are old pre-AP 2.5 games, right?
That is simply not possible, I’m afraid. AFAIK, AP 2.5 is embedded into the new Xbox Dashboard itself, so no matter what you do with the discs, it will not run. As 360 user, you must know about “wave patching”? Patching newer wave games to older waves?
This is not possible with AP 2.5 games. 👿

I’m thinking about jtagging my console as jtagged consoles can read those games even if they have AP 2.5 installed on them, whereas the flashed Xbox 360s can’t read them and reports it’s unreadable.

Yup, jTagged consoles can read them and even AP 2.5 is no problem. At least Fable 3 works from HDD with jTag. Main advantage/attraction of jTag is that you can run 360 games from HDD without the disk, just like PS3 Jailbreak. I guess you already know this but for this reason I’m looking to see if any shop in BD can do it for me.

Well, bro if you hadn’t updated your dashboard the only game you could have been able to play that your now not able to play is Fable III ..cause fable 3 released before the kinect dashboard, so the game disc didn’t came with kinect dashboard on it. But assassin’s creed 2 , nfs hot pursuit 3 comes with the kinect dashboard 😥 😥 :cry:…when you insert the disc they will ask you to upgrade to the new kinect dashboard if you don’t you won’t be able to play the game…so no point in regretting about it…

Yup jtagged consoles are great! If you know about any shop that can do it , then surely inform me..And i have made it clear that i won’t go on xbox live until january 2011 …:-) :-)…But what horrifies me that i can’t play NFS hp 3 and AC brotherhood till this new firmware comes…..But there are still other games..

Yes, you’re somewhat right, but I’ve heard that if you can manage to delete the system update data(It only works in case of burning the game to a disc and if you have the clone ISO file) from the ISO and then burn it to a disc, it won’t ask you to update(I’m not sure about it though). But that only works for them who still haven’t updated to the Kinect Dashboard. But as I’ve already updated to it, nothing can save me from that AP 2.5 now unless the new iExtreme LT+ firmware hits the floor. 😡

It also allows you to run a variety of homebrew applications on it as well as the support for playing the xbox live premium dlcs for free. Besides, you can fake region codes of a game which allows you to play a game from another region even if it’s not originally supported by your console. 😛

Yeah, it’s a bit risky but so is the flash. Most people are jtagging their consoles these days, so it’s no big deal even though we have to admit that it isn’t as common or popular among the modded Xbox 360 users in BD as it is in other countries and maybe that’s why most of the gaming shops in BD don’t know about it. According to me, Jtag is the finest mod for the Xbox 360 till now. It allows you to do a lot of things that you can’t do with a normally flashed Xbox 360. 😛 😎

The only problem of jtag is, you can’t go over to Xbox Live with
a jtagged console as it will get you banned instantly. So if you plan to jtag your console you’ll have to give up the luxury of playing on Live. If you log in with a jtagged console on Live you’ll be banned within a few seconds, so apparently it isn’t simply possible to survive on live with a jtagged console. But then there is a software released by C4eva which is able to “unban” your console and bring it back to the previous state. Although I’m not sure about whether it works or not as I haven’t tried it out myself. On the internet, there are a lot of users who claim that it works while the others say it doesn’t. So it’s really hard to believe on any of them. 🙄 But regardless of it, jtag is still an awesome mod for the Xbox 360 😎 and I’m going to Jtag my console if I find any gaming shop in BD that can do it for me.

I don’t know as I’ve already updated to the Kinect Dashboard, and so did everyone here on GWB AFAIK, so I don’t think anyone can answer your question here. You better try it out for yourself or take someone’s help who still haven’t updated to the new dashboard.

hackers were all over sony for the last 3 weeks like enabling PSN and patching games that needed firmware 3.42 and 3.5 protocols.But now sony is fighting but after the psn maintainence earlier today they have patched the loophole.It will be matter of time before another exploit comes and bypass it.Like i said earlier let the cat and mouse chase begin

ok so i am stuck now with the new dashboard and am unable to play assassins creed which i tried to patch to wave 3 and play, if i rent the retail version from blockbuster 1) will it play? 2) will it install whats necessary to allow me to play my wave 3 copy moving forward?
I figure it would play after i use a retail version to install whatever updates its extracting when it gets the disk unreadable error

Guy I know a expert who assured me to get a new firmware very shortly, hopeful for that. surely will share here once i got that, but before i got that, a KFC treat is must who can manage to play ASC B on my xbox. i cant loose the luxury of Live gaming.

I have inserted Fable 3, installed full game, but it shows unreadable. I haven’t connected to XBL yet, after reading this post, afraid of get banned, the new game haven’t run because of new AP 2.5. it mean the AP identified i am trying to play a copy game. No my question is, does it already recorded that i tried to play a copy game? and is there any risk to connect on XBL now after inserting Fable 3 and see the “Unreadable ” message ?

I’m sorry to say that your Xbox 360 has been flagged for a ban. The moment you connect to Xbox Live, it will be banned.
However, if you get the LT+ firmware and patch your games to work with AP 2.5, it will work. But you will still be banned and connecting to Xbox Live will get you banned.

I remember, i have connected 2 times after inserting fable 3, just to upload game score, but didn’t played any game. didn’t get banned then. And is it 100% sure that my console is already flagged for a ban. is there any way that i can remove the flag? i wont connect to XBL till i get the new firmware.
Now not connected, not sure to connect or not. my one is xbox arcade, some one said me, if i play arcade without a HDD nothing to worry. I have a 60GB HDD, if i got banned, can i use the HDD with another xbox?
and by the mean time, what is your best suggestion for me? I want to play live. I have inserted fable 3 time, installed 1 time. now deleted whole game. or if i formate the whole HDD & memory unit of xbox will it remove the flag?
I dont know what needs to do. and what is the main disadvantages if i get banned on live?
I use XBL only to play multiplayer on GH, as you know there is only few GH player in BD and i didn’t know anyone yet except me.

A ban info/flag is saved in the Xbox 360’s NAND chip/ROM. No matter how many times you format your HDD, it won’t go away.
Use Xval at http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EkVlyZyFluvBpsPeAC.php to see if your console has been flagged for a ban.

If your Xbox 360 is banned/flagged while trying to run an AP2.5 game, your profile will get corrupted. It won’t work on another 360 (although the HDD will work fine). There is a complicated way to UN-corrupt your profile but there is NO way to UN-ban your Xbox 360.

You’re lucky indeed. Did you try the Xval as I mentioned before? Ban usually happen in waves, where MS bans a lot of consoles at once.

I have a hacked X360 and I ve been playing downloaded games for a long time while connected to XBOX live. I never went online because I dont want to get banned I only play campaign modes. I just recently finished playing my old games like Just Cause 2, MW2, AC2 etc and I still haven’t been banned. I am just about to download the latest games including Crysis 2, Homefront, Bulletstorm, NFS Hot Pursuit, Black Ops etc… most of which are AP 2.5.
Here’s my question:
Has the new firmware for flashing XBOX released yet? Can I at least play the downloaded AP 2.5 games as long as I NEVER go online on my xbox again? Please let me know so I can find someone who can flash my xbox for me with the new anti AP 2.5 firmware.

I have recently upgraded my x360 elite to the new patch..I asked the retailer that why am I doing this?..He said, with out the new patch I wouldn’t be able to play games like Deux Ex, LA Noir etc..Although I have modded it, but was it really necessary to upgrade the x360 to play the new games?
