Update On Qubee’s Real IP And Online Gaming NAT Issues
A Qubee technician finally came to my house today and set up my real IP. All my ports are open now. All that remains is configuring the Qubee Gigaset SX682 modem properly to forward the ports to PS3 and Xbox.
This will hopefully solve the dreaded NAT issues on PSN and Xbox Live. I’m writing a short update to keep you guys posted, will let you know when it finally works out.

I’ve spent the entire day configuring the Gigaset SX682 router. Configured port forwarding correctly but Xbox 360 NAT type is still STRICT. BitTorrent shows the green check mark which means ports have been forwarded correctly, but Xbox 360 doesn’t work. I’ll keep you guys updated. In the mean time, if you guys have any suggestions, let me know.

Hi thats great to know.
However, when i plugged qubee (tower modem) to my 360 i didnt faced any NAT, it just connected instantly. I have arcade.
I have a usefull tips for live gamers, that is, we can still play on live good, via GP EDGE. all we need a home network cable and a good edge modem. I am now using gp to play on live, it works fine on maximum games except the fighting games like street Fighter 4. I have played shift, dirt 2, guiter hero aerosmith, blur, split/second etc a lot games all work good on gp.
However, the main thing is the performance on 1mb qubee and gp is quite same. dont know why, when downloading from live 1 MB qubee is great, but when playing, both is same, probobly the upload is speed for both is kinda same.
There is a easy setup to share internet connection from PC to xbox that can be used to play via any internet, and when we share via pc, it doesnt cause any NAT, just you have to know the proper setup. we can get the setup from xbox live support, or if you are using win7, simple go to
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
right click on yoru current internet connection that you want to share,
right click > properties > sharing > tick on allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection.
from the below drop down, select Local area connection.
Thats great now restart, get a network cable and plug to xbox & pc’s lan, then check settings. it should be connected easily.
as this is same as qubee’s plug & play setup.

That is a nice suggestion and it might work since my PC reports that all my ports are open. Only my PS3 and 360 reports closed ports. Also, I’ve heard you can put the Qubee modem in bridge mode so will try that out. Will keep you guys posted.

Gimme your gamertag..Anyway how can you play online with GP?? Bro trust me i found it impossible, i tried once, i shared the PC internet network with my xbox 360..i connected both of them with an Ethernet cable, i was able to log on, but when i tried to play it was just too slow..I am not sure if i have the correct settings..Whereas i have a different setting with zoom ultra and i connect zoom ultra to my xbox 360 in the same way as gp, which is the way you mentioned..And i was able to play without any problem…

the best for play i found zoom as it got 320KB upload speed better then all. Upload speed is the main part for good play.
and PCMCIA modem or L shape is best modem to max out GP’s performance. but PCI/PCMCIA modem is only available for laptops.

btw i recently updated to LT+ with kinect dashboard but when i connected to live it gives a message that new update is available and if i don’t update i can’t connect to live 🙁 and it’s my 1st time on live so i have no idea.i don’t want to play games just want to browse,so will i get banned if i use live just for surfing..plz help

be true, i dont know why they ban, about this issue read the other great articles on this site. but i have updated a lot from live still no problem, and also if you are connected to live to play every game first they will requrie a short update ( 1-3 MB ) to activate the games live version. i have updated more then 40 game and got no problem.
1 big suggestion, that if you got a free account ” don’t use live” if you got a gold account then 99.99% safe.
*** a use full tip to use free live : if you want to only browse games & download addons, then every month make a new profil cus every new profil got a 1 month free trial of xbox Gold and 100% functional
*** hei but surely you shoud upgrade to 1 year gold membership, then we can play halo reach!!! or assassins creed brotherhood as that shit has less solo play time bigger multiplayer time 😎 *** and to browse the live from gp in good speed use a good firewall to block all incoming & outgoing internet usage, except Network Computer Usage, that will surely booste the speed by 60% or even better 😀

yup, i’ve also updated from live a lot of time, yet no problem..But one piece of advice is don’t go on live during december, because that is the time when ban waves starts flowing though xbox live..
and about xbox live gold subscription card , you can buy it from Nadim Electrons or as an alternative “click bd”..I guess Nadim costs tk 1600 for 3months gold subscription card…

Bro, the first 3 new profiles that you’ll make , on those profile you’ll get 1 month xbox gold..I’ve made 2 profiles i got 1 month of gold from both of them..but in the third profile i messed up when choosing my subscription..i had to pick 1month trial but i picked free..

Hey Guys.. need help.. i bought a GigasetSX682 withj 1MB sky connection(qubee) with a external router- TL-WR340GD. But i can’t play on psn because of nat failure. I tried to open all ports but couldn’t help 😥 . Can i get any help please? 🙄

DUDE! HOW DID U EVEN CONVICE THEM?? their technical support sucks! They never have home service support and most important of all, they say real IP is only for hosting official website and definitely banned for gaming! they’re are soo frustrating! i cant use Gameranger or garena properly and most online gaming have either high latency and disconnect every few minutes!
Just what did any of u do to get a real ip if u got it?? 😡 😡 😡 😡

yes.. yesterday i took qubee 1mbps_12gb. before i had zip 512kbps and playing black ops in psn was fine. after i took qubee , now wen i do my connection test, my NAT type fails!! i am now really worried that can i play black ops anymore using qubee. im currently using gigaset SX682 Wimax. 😥 🙁
