Lucky Gamers Get Cataclysm Early, Street Date Broken

World of Warcraft Cataclysm isn’t supposed to release until tomorrow, 7th December. But a few lucky gamers got their hands on early as retailers broke the street date.

GI.biz’s reporting that a number of Swedish GameStop stores began selling the game before its release date.

GameStop staff said that they only broke the street date because a rival chain store, the Gothenburg branch of Rocks, began to sell the game early. However, they aren’t selling the game anymore till its official release.

Gamers who got Cataclysm early won’t be able to play it since Blizzard’s servers won’t be online till tomorrow. Well, you get to ogle the awesome box a bit earlier than the rest of the world.
