Mike Patton Returns To Reprise His Role As The Darkness In The Darkness 2
According to Hell Decent, the Faith No More singer Mike Patton will once again be returning to reprise his role of The Darkness in The Darkness 2.
Speaking to Mike’s co-created music label, Ipecac Recordings, the site learned that the voicing of “The Darkness”[the demonic creature that chose and held Jackie Estacado as it’s current host and wielder] in The Darkness 2 will be done by him.
Mike’s voice over work in the original was highly praised for his harsh, crabbed and gruffly voice featured in the game.
His other voice over work in video games include Left 4 Dead and Portal.
The Darkness 2 was announced last week for a fall 2011 release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Even though Mike Patton’s voice work in the original was great, but according to me, protagonist Jackie Estacado’s voice(which was done by someone named Kirk Acevado, if I’m not wrong) was even more interesting. 😛
I still remember that infamous dialogue from the first one, where the game’s main antagonist(forgot his name, maybe Paulie or something) kills Jackie’s girlfriend and when he commits suicide/kills himself after that, he says (describes the incident on a later time as) “That was the first time when I died”

Same here. Didn’t play the first one but if the second one is as good as the first one, I’ll surely pickup Darkness 2.
@wolfkaos
I’m mostly sure that program is a virus or something. It’s the same reason behind why generated CDkeys don’t work online. I believe Microsoft keeps a database of every code they sell but it is purely speculation on my part.
