New Prince of Persia Game To Hit May 2010
Ubisoft has just announced that a new Prince of Persia game, dubbed The Forgotten Sands will hit consoles and handheld devices in May 2010. There is no word on a PC version yet, but you can expect it to release on PCs at a later date.
All Ubisoft has said is that it will feature “many of the fan-favorite elements from the original series as well as new gameplay innovations that gamers have come to expect from the Prince of Persia brand.”

Cool POP update. Im not lookin forward to this tho. POP sands of time is the only POP game that lives up to the name and no other POP lives upto sands of time standards. this wont either.. The new Prince of persia proved it.

I’m a huge POP fan. One of my first games in the DOS era was the original POP. Sands of Time was the best and I really like the new one, POP: Prodigy. I’ll admit, the gameplay was a bit repetitive but the story and characters (especially Elika) really moved me. Can’t wait for it to get a sequel.

odd man. i didnt think u liked the last one. I was really into it thru the 1st half of the game .. then i had this bad feeling that what if i have to do this shit for the rest of the game …. that would be really lame… and thats what happened… it was deja vu for the rest of the game topped off by a very lame ending…but im going to check out the new game when it comes out eventually altho i wont check into any pop screenies or videos.. ill just have too much expectations for it if i do. ubisoft has a tendency to show off their games in the trailers in a way that makes u expect the game to become GOTY. lol. and it almost never does. Farcry 2 for example.. what a solid shooter.. what a lame game.. 15 min jeep travels… plz spare me.

Agh, I just hated Far Cry 2. Anyway, I grew up with platform games, so I’m sucked into it even if it means repetitive as hell. 😀

Good news though.. warrior within was THE best prince of persia to me. The new one was innovative in some sense but the gameplay was quite BORING!!! Liked the new prince though.. Pretty cool :p..
However the end clearly indicated that there will be a asequel…and here it comes!! Looking forward to it.
AND PLEASE UBISOFT…DONT GIVE ANY BORING TASKS LIKE COLECTING LIGHT ORBS!!!!

Hmm…. you must like edgier games. Warrior Within is the most brutal POP that I can recall, I, however enjoyed Sands of Time and The Prodigy best 😛

I just cant wait to get my hands on this game. Is it available in SOF now? Last time I checked it wasn’t. 🙁
