Fallout New Vegas Details Leaked
Fallout New Vegas is under development by Obsidian and will be published by Bethesda. Little is known about this one except it will feature a radiated, wasteland version of Las Vegas. A trusted source has revealed the following information:
1. The character can select a “back story” much like Dragon Age Origins.
2. One of the background story will be of a Chinese man, which takes place before the bombs fell in New Vegas
3. By default, the Chinese Agent has the skills Sneak, Small Arms, and Explosives tagged and SPECIAL stats set
4. If having a background story isn’t your style of play, you can start from a “clean slate” by the Lone Wanderer character.
5. There will be Gambling, not as a skill but perhaps as a mini game. Vehicles will also be featured to traverse the vast geography of post-apocalyptic Las Vegas.
The full details can be found here. Fallout New Vegas is slated for release sometime in 2010 on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Are you excited about Fallout New Vegas? I sure am, considering I put 30+ hours into Fallout 3.

Then you should definitely play this game before Fallout New Vegas comes out, especially if you’re into post-apocalyptic RPG. Fallout 3 was PC Gamer’s game of the year. I liked it so much that I bought the collector’s edition, complete with a bobblehead, tin lunch box, making of DVD and a hardcover art book.

My only concern is with Obsidian developing Fallout New Vegas. Although I liked their previous games, especially KOTOR II (my all time favourite), still, how they can translate the action gameplay of Fallout remains to be seen. Have you played the Fallout 3 DLCs?

Agreed. Broken Steel was good since it continued the story line.
