Assassin’s Creed 2 In-Depth Reader Review
This is a review by fellow Gamersworldbd reader Sng425 and has been edited by me.
Remember Desmond Miles & his Ancestor Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad From Assassin’s Creed? Well, the Assassin’s Creed series is back with a brand new sequel named and this time It introduces us to a new assassin “Ezio Auditore da Firenze” from the late 15th century in Italian Renaissance era.
Assassin’s Creed 2 takes place in an open world with nonlinear gameplay, allowing the player to roam freely within several regions throughout the late fifteenth-century Italy such as Venice, Florence, Forli, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Rome & Apenine Mountains.
Ezio is a son of a 15th-century Italian banker. The player will find Ezio as a 15th century Italian noble student, where he has not yet donned his assassin’s robe and instead is living a carefree life; challenging his brother to a rooftop race, beating up his sister’s cheating lover, visiting his girlfriend’s house at night, fighting with the local gangs, stealing & pickpocketing money from the citizens of Florence, etc. However, Ezio’s devil-may-care freedom is soon cut short.
There are a lot of key features that has been added in this new sequel of Assassin’s Creed series. As you may have known, money plays a big part in Asassin’s Creed 2 and it can be earned in a various way, by completing missions, doing business in the villa, stealing and pickpocketing from civilians, looting from guards, finding hidden treasures etc.
The player can spend money to buy new weapons, ammunition and upgrade Ezio’s armor from the blacksmith’s store. [You] can visit the doctor to get cured or to buy medicine which will help him in his journey. [There is also the tailor where you can] get a new assassin uniform and upgrade [Ezio’s] knife ,poison and medicine pouch.
[There is a] fast traveling station to travel through cities quickly in exchange for money. Gamers can also visit the art merchant to buy the treasure maps of every regions to find hidden treasures and to buy paintings for the villa, which increases the value of Monteriggioni.
By increasing the value of Monteriggioni, Ezio will get a cut of the action for the money he invested. Everytime Ezio expands his business at the workshop in the villa, he will get a 10% bonus of the total value everyday. Ezio can expand his business by re-innovating the city, collecting weapons and armor for the armory in the villa, by upgrading the stores there, collecting paintings, feathers and most importantly the Codex Pages.
In the previous game the character was only able to climb, run, and ride horse. But now the player is given a new freedom to swim and even fly with a flying machine. The tall towers will give the player a Bird’s eye view to synchronize the area like the first game. Climbing is much improved from Assassin’s Creed 1. Indeed, Ezio can now jump when climbing to grab an edge, which makes climbing a lot more easier.
Now talking about the combat system and the new weapons. In the previous game, [Altair] was only able to carry four weapons in his inventory. But now Ezio is able to carry almost eight weapons in his inventory; The Sword, Dagger, Dual Hidden Blades, Smoke Bombs,Poison Vials, The Pistol, Throwing Knives and of course Ezio can use his fists. Combat is almost similar to the first one, except some slight changes. Ezio [can now] perform a double assassination, [killing two enemies at once]. Double assassination is fun to perform and it never gets old.
Combat is [more] fun in Assassin’s Creed 2 since the player can kill an enemy with his own weapons or even using the enemy’s weapons, as you may have watched in a trailer.
This review is based on the console version of the game. There is not much more to talk about the graphics, sound and gameplay. Everything is just great in the console version.
The game is divided into 14 sequences. The two DLCs [Battle for Forli and The Bonfires of the Vanities] are required to play Sequence 12 & 13 on the console version. The PC version will come included with the DLCs.
The PC version will release on March 16, 2010.
That’s it, people. Assassin’s Creed 2 features a lot of things that can’t be said in the review. It will take thousands of words to describe all the features of it. So I just figured out the pros and cons of the game and gave it a 9/10 overall.
Pros:
(+)Huge, beautifully realized world to explore
(+)A great variety of missions, weapons, and stealth techniques than in the original
(+)The main protagonist Ezio is a terrific new character
(+)Great storyline with outstanding visual design,sound effects & gameplay
(+)Combat is fun & the double assassination never gets old
(+)A great sequel that will make players eager for the third installment
Cons:
(-)Console gamers will have to buy the DLCs to play some sequences in the game.
(-)A few gameplay and visual quirks
Overall: 9/10

It would be much better for Gamersworldbd to introduce a marking and ranking system in games for all platforms in particular in future(Gamespot style to be specific) adding it up to great reviews like this could take gamersworldbd to the next level could even be the next (Gamespot or ign).But the advancements are needed in order to succeed and more editors too to increase the workrate.

I didnt yet play assasin’s creed II waiting to get my hands on it this month for the pc.I could’ve played earlier but never wanted to miss Uncharted 2 either.Hope the game can be cracked after hearing the infamous DRM protection from UBI soft on the pc version.Or else i have to dish out the cash once again. 👿

the pc version is released 3 days ago in torrent sites and i have downloaded it but yet not properly cracked.We need to wait for some time like the GTA IV pc crack for this game.The current crack makes the game playable but in sequences when the game connects to ubi soft servers for something the game freezes.The animus bug fixes or whatever released are temporary cuz the game connects to the ubi servers every now and then in each mission.So the cracker groups are trying to make a crack for the game which makes the game understand that it’s connected to the ubi soft servers for check but in reality its not.Still waiting for the crack.I am happy as the game is gonna be cracked open

u can get it right now,but u won’t able to play it peacefully (!) until a crack is released by those cracker teams like skidrow,reloaded etc. !

anyway,i’m very excited to know actually what happened after Ezio finds out that his father was an “Assassin” & the people who he was working with were all assassins !
& i was very eager to know,what really happened after that “infamous” leap of faith from that tall tower in the end of sequence 11.but it was very frustrating that the gameplay jumps right to sequnce 14 after the end of the sequence 11 in the console version. 😡
Even though,these two sequences doesn’t effect the main story,but still i wanted to play those two sequences for free in the console version.but i’m happy that the pc version will contain those two dlcs for “free” & i will check out the pc version shortly !
i hope there will be a crack for that “drm problem” real soon !

Its good news for u as you can get more playtime and get ur questions answered out of the pc version.I didnt get to play the full Assassins Creed due to the jerusalem bug on the pirated version 👿 .Hope that there is nothing of that species this time around 🙄 .Getting pissed every moment before the crack releases 😈 .But for the time being playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Impressive Visuals

yeah,since i didn’t bought those two dlcs from xbox live,the curiousity of knowing what happened after that is still running inside of me.
but there is also a big problem,i’ll have to play the game again from the begining to play sequence 12 & 13,which might feel boring as of playing it for the second time !
btw…what about the jerusalem bug of AC 1?i also played the pirated version of AC 1 in my pc.But i didn’t had any problem playing it & i completed the whole game without even a single bug ! maybe the crack you were using wasn’t 100% working (in this case i wanna say,there are a lot of cracks get released for a pirated game & they also differ by the cracker teams.for example – Some are released by skidrow,some by reloaded,some by razor 1941 etc.)And if you don’t apply the crack properly,it may create some bug like u had one in playing AC 1.
Anyway,i hope you have a good time playing BBC 2 ! 🙂

Dear Gamers World Bd readers,
The Assassin’s Creed 2 pc version was scheduled to release on March 16,2010.But later,the official release date was changed to March 9,2010 instead of March 16,2010.
And that means,its already released & out.
But in the Assassin’s Creed 2 review of Gamers World Bd it was mentioned that the game will release in March 16,2010.
To clear out the confusion,i’m posting these comment as an update !

i had the first leaked iso of assasins creed where the jerusalem sequence was corrupted so i could’nt progress.So all kinds of cracks are useless 🙁 .I think you got yourself the fixed release 🙂 which got out later.If my internet was as good as now back then i could’ve played it.Cuz the only available fix was to download a 1GB file which seemed impossible 😈 at that time via torrent.

UBI Soft is considering a offline mode patch for assassins creed II after the game gets fully cracked 😆 .

They already updated the DRM.The offline patch will release in future of this game’s lifecycle.Esp due to the criticism of the always on internet requirement and its side effects.

i dont know the exact updates applied to the DRM.But,this was an update to procrastinate the cracking process and get some sales in the meantime 👿 .

Still no fully functional crack from the pirate groups :evil:.
There are some fake cracks circulating around the web (obviously done by ubi soft and some idiot who bought the game and want to do some pranks shame on them 👿 ) in the name of this groups but not many of em.I will try the patch when the game finally gets cracked.

Over two weeks still no assassins creed II crack 👿
Fake cracks all over the internet and even on youtube with fake comments.The only crack released was by CafEmulator team who released the game iso too.They bypassed the ubi soft logging procedure and finally executing the game but not the in-game protection 🙁

Yeah,Skidrow is working on the crack and they also have cracked SIlent Hunter 5 based on the same DRM as Assassins Creed II.As,of now no crack 😯 is released for Assassins Creed II.
Bad news is
future pc games will come with this kinds of DRM which makes it bad in the long run.EA will also start this kind of DRM protection for its games as early as next month.
Hope crackers can crack this kinds of DRM quickly in future after having experience with UBI Soft DRM.

Gosh I hope this sort of DRM never gets hacked. Once it get hacked for which I have reasonable grounds to believe, —(ACII,SH5,CNC4-**partially**)— developers may introduce ‘new’ types of DRMs like e.g. DIEING FIRST THEN GOING TO HELL TO COLLECT ACTIVATION CODES, THEN COMING BACK TO GRAVE(not to life) AGAIN TO PLAY THEIR ‘PRECIOUS’ GAMES. Even when this gets hacked…they might even add requirement like A PERMANENT HELL-SETTLEMENT IS REQUIRED TO PLAY THE GAME!!!

i boght a pirated copy of AC2 from a store in idb today but its an unfinished crak 😕 u can roam around the city but when you start a mision the game frizes, its even ritten on the readme folder of the game dvd and they are saying that a ful crak wil be available sum time in april, no specific date. so dont bother to buy it now as its like a demo. al we coud do now is wait… 😥 😥

I think we should think about “Just Cause 2” now.The xbox 360 version is already available in less than 24 hrs also the pc version has been released and properly cracked by releoded.But the main prob of the pc version is that it doesnt support windows xp.I dont have a prob in that but most ppl will have as it doesnt support xp/directx9.

& it’s got a metascore of 82 from Metacritic & got 8.0 from gamespot,which is better than the 1st one…
& also this time Rico looks great than the 1st one.. 😛

Cus,the 1st one was so critisized for its less gameplay hours & short in length.

Thanks bro i appreciate it.Yes,i tried repairing but the thing is rrod can never be permanently fixed (saying from experience).Even after you fix it like your xbox 360 rrod u fixed it and it will be fine for a while then it will again rrod and then after fixing it again it will be fine but will last less than the time it lasted after first fix.In this way the lifespan after fixing rrod every time it occurs will decrease the working time and will come to a point where it will be unfixable or can be fixed for couple of minutes and that happened to me.Dont even believe those online fixes which charge money and say its permanent fix and i think i dont need to remind of the retards in the shops.I hope you have the jasper version cuz it will last longer than its predecessor’s but depends on how much you use it.Hope you have a good time playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 :mrgreen:.

i dont know about that but the pc version is rated 8.5 in gamespot whereas the xbox 360 version is rated 8 in gamespot.The scores shows that the pc version is slightly better than the xbox 360 version.

and talking about the usage of my xbox 360,I only play games on my xbox 360 once in a while,I don’t even play on my xbox 360 more than 1 hour a day in average if u ask me…
& i play the console exclusives that were only released for xbox 360 & those games that my pc(or gfx card) can’t handle(didn’t upgraded my pc for a while due to purchasing of the xbox 360 & psp).
& I’m trying & will try my best to prevent the rrod as long as i can(!)…

& yeah,the pc version got 8.5 where the 360 version got only 8.0.So,maybe the pc version is better than the 360 version…
But still i’ll get the 360 version,cus my gfx card won’t be able to handle the game in full settings…
& If it does so,Still i won’t able to play it smoothly & the fps will lag most of the time…
So,i’ll get it on the xbox 360 & will enjoy the game in full settings (& also it will run smoothly on xbox 360 without even a glitch)!

*Strategy where I can have my own control on main map (Total War not Command & Conquere)

u cant realy blame mafiul for not liking bioshok as i think it depends on the taste of the player, which game will be prefered by him… as in my case i realy dont like fps games though i hav played codmw2 nd bfbc2 and enjoyed them somwhat but it woudnt make me go bak nd play them al over again…rather i prefer games like pop(not the 2008 one,coz it sucked big time), god of war, dmc and asasins creed….in this case i also fil a bit unluky for being a pc gamer as high rated games of this sort like beyoneta and darksiders were nt rilised on pc 😥

Because, they just do not want to finish the game’s story to make anther sequel! But see, BadComapany or FarCry 2 does finish the story and yet they are going to make sequel (if they want)!

assassins creed II beta crack is released.It works on opening part but not after that but that what we call beta and we’re getting somewhere right 🙂 .This shows that the crack will be out soon.At least this proves that this drm isnt uncrackable

Yeah its the beta of the crack we all are waiting for.The final oneclick version wont be much of a hassle like this one.You can play the opening stage with this crack means no animus white screen.But in later connection sync phases with ubi arent yet fixed to crack.This beta crack paves the way for a final crack 😀 which is coming soon i think by this month.

But since i’ve already played & finished Assassins’ Creed 2 on my xbox 360,So,I really don’t have any interest on the Beta Crack…
Cus,It only lets you to play the opening part…
Let us know when the final crack is released…
btw…You guys are telling that you can’t play the missions of AC 2 & got stuck at the very begining of the game,but some of the players are also saying that,You can explore the city & all the other areas…
But as long as I remember,The game starts at Abstergo lab in 2012 & you get to play there as Desmond miles not as Ezio….
Later on,by progressing through the game,you can explore all the regions of Italy in the late 15th century of Italian Renaissance era…
And there is no way to skip the prologue,Which means,you’ll have to play through the prologue as Desmond & later you will get to play as Ezio…

also known as animus bug fix but the game doesnt start after desmond enters the animus it start after 20mins of the game.And all noobs in the internet say it as animus bug fix :lol:.
But with the beta crack this doesnt happen.

sng425 & Rabbi: I was very happy today because just got the news that, I’m the runner up of “Microsoft Windows 7 Features” Presentation competition. And with a very happy mind I open my inbox to read what my gamers brothers wrote new on “Gamers World Bangladesh”. But here is something written what really make me very sad. I’m not blaming nay one but me, because I have failed to explain the situation to you. So, I want to try one more time to explain:

And I saw it works, but I had no option to delete this post. So, I write the same post again with my ID.

But still such personal attack with that kinds of language was not expected from a native gamer. I’m sure some one is observer here who will let us know whether just practice allowed or not.

I have completed sequence 9
i did a mistake
thats not final version of the emulator i posted before but that crack works and you can complete the game too with that crack.But few side missions not the main mission in the end part of the game are yet to be fixed.So i prefer everyone to use the latest version available of the crack.

But since the final crack is out now,I won’t have any problem playing the game right now…

Which pirated version of the game do you have,bro?(like you have the proper skidrow version of Just Cause 2)
& will the crack work with the repack reloaded version?
Cus,sometimes the cracks that were released by reloaded doesn’t work with the skidrow or razor 1911 version of a game…
or vice versa…
And the reason behind this also simple…
Cus,they get released by different groups & they don’t work with each other…

The main requirement for the ubisoft offline emulator is that you must have the untouched retail files of the game and you cant use anyother cracks.If any issues dont hesitate to ask me.

i download the normal clone dvd of assassins creed II and it wasnt released by any well known sceners.Just the iso of the assassins creed II dvd.I am playing sequence 13 now its about a monk who stole the apple of eden from ezio in the end of the sequence 12 after ezio assassinated orsi brothers.

ok i bought ac2 from a dvd store in dhaka, nd it also had the server emulator files (old version) with video tutorial included which works fairly well, so if anybody has a slow internet conection or no internet conection at all you cud buy it for just 100tk and play, insted of using the files included in the dvd u could also use the latest srver emu version (version .41) with one clik install and no hassle of editing any host file or whatsoever with the dvd too which i did, here is the link- http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=55769&start=2595 this is actualy the same link as rabbis, but u will also find new updates here and thx to rabbi, becoz if he hadnt post the link then i may not hav found it and also to sng425 as for riting the reviw in the first place (gud to si u guys bak). i m in sequence 5 ,hopefully will be able to finish it tomorrow, till then enjoy the game….

I wasn’t be able to put all the information of AC 2,since the gaming wiz told me to keep the review short,As nobody reads those long reviews these days…
And that’s why I wasn’t be able put those interesting features of AC 2 in the review, like in AC 1, the game’s environment doesn’t change that much & you won’t see any night sequences in the game…
But in Ac 2, Day & night sequences are beautifully presented in AC 2…
In fact,it really looks good, when the environment slowly changes from day to night…
Like this one, A lot of cool features were added in this new sequel of AC series…
But those features were not presented in my review due to some Terms and Condition of this site,
But still in overall I tried my best,to make the review interesting to you all… 😛

About the Codex pages, Yeah, you’ll need all those codex pages to reach the very last mission of the game !
(In fact,I also mentioned it on my review that you’ll have to collect all the codex pages on the game in order to complete the game!)
But my question to you is, Haven’t you collected them all?
I didn’t need to collect them all at end of the game,Since I almost collected 25 out of 30 them before that mission…
At that time,I only needed to collect 5 codex pages to reach the final mission, And it doesn’t sound that boring to me Since I almost collected them in the middle of the game !

use the latest version of server v0.44 emulator it works like a charm.I never had white screen ever in this game even with the older server emulator at that mission you are mentioning.

Gears of War 3 is announced only for xbox 360.You’re in luck.The final installment of this game is stated to release in Q2 of 2011 hope your xbox 360 stays strong till then.Hope the game goes multiplatform so i could play it.Last time when i was playing the first stage of gears of war 2 in my 360 my 360 permanently rrod so i couldnt play 🙁 .Hope it comes down to pc or ps3.

The templars are the worst enemies of the assassins…
And that’s why the templars murdered & executed ezio’s father cus once he was involved with the creed & also was an assassin…
But Ezio didn’t know about he’s father’s past..
But later on,he discovered that his father was an assassin & that’s why he got killed by the templars..
And So,Ezio plans to take revenge by assassinating all those templars out there…
And that’s how he gets involved with the creed & becomes a master assassin…
But talking about the ending,The ending doesn’t make sense at all !
And in my opinion,It’s such a bad ending for an outstanding game like Assassin’s Creed 2…

Yeah i agree but the story got shifted a lot which is the only positive point for me but a very bad last mission.Maybe when Assassins Creed III gets out we will have our answer to the mystery that is created in the end.I think assassins creed III will be a modern warfare

Many games like God of War,Assassins Creed,Gears of War,Mass Efffect not going to be more than a triology.One reason could be that the game creators are not interested to shift generation for each game because they want something fresh next generation in their sleeves.Or they think the game could get stale if more sequels are done under same idea.There could be many more reasons but the fact remains that they are triology and we cant change it 🙁 .

I Don’t think that they will make a sequel which will not feature any ancestors of Desmond…
But it’s up to the developers of the game…
If they want,then there will be a sequel which will be only based on the Desmond’s story…

Although,At first the rumors were spreading that the next Assassin’s Creed 3 will be based on an assassin in the World War II era.
But later,scriptwriter “Corey May” has stated that the series will never take place during that period, as a major goal was to take players to settings normally unvisited in games.
And It was also stated that the Assassin’s Creed was originally meant to be a Trilogy of sorts.
And also the Other possible settings of the third title may have the “Middle Ages”,involving King Arthur,or the “feudal Japan”.
Though,One thing is sure that we will get a new sequel to the Assassin’s Creed 2,but no one is sure about the game’s plot that will be featured on the next assassin’s creed sequel,whether the plot maybe set on the Middle ages,or The Feudal Japan or the Italian Renaissance era like the previous one.
And there is also a chance that we will also get to play as
Desmond as an assassin,Based on all those Assassinating skills
he had learnt on AC 2.

Yes the game woks fine, but after act 3 or 4 when I restarted the game I couldn’t find my saved game. Now I’ve to play all over again.
And is there any way to reduce the game’s resolution even lower? Like Bad company 2 where to reduce the resolution and turn off other graphics option you have to edit an settings.ini file. My FPS will dramatically increase if I could turn off the shadows in AC II

you must login with the same username u used during ur last sessions for ubi soft account logging procedure after the game is run.I enabled auto sign in so didnt had problems like that and i have also completed the game (always use latest server emulator).If thats not the case you may have deleted ur save files or ur antivirus did it who knows.Anyway i hope your problem gets solved.Anyway good luck and happy gaming

bro as far as i know the lowest resolution of the game is 800X600 pixels.So you cant lower the resolution except a hack.I really didnt know that can be done in bad company 2 as i was getting smooth frame rates at 1920X1080 resolution with maximum graphics settings on.Anyway i will keep posted if i find anything useful to improve fps for assassins creed II.

use the latest 1.01 patch for assassins creed II to update the game.The server emulator works with 1.01 patch but if ur using the latest server emulator delete the patches_launcher folder inside orbit folder of the server emulator before patching.

there are no assassins creed II graphics lowering hack but there could be one in future but i doubt it.

1) Update assassins creed II to latest version using the patch (if youre using server emulator v.4 or above then open your offline server directory and you will find a folder call orbit and open it and then you will see a folder called patches_laucher delete this folder before patching)
2) After patching update your graphics drivers to latest version available on the vendor site.

After that you could expect a frame rate improvement at least something will be on the cards i can assure u that.

it may not be a problem but if u patch the game to 1.01 and run the server emulator and open the game the game will crash thats why i told you to delete that folder.After patching dont forget to delete patches_launcher folder before playing the game.But u must remember that you must update ur graphics driver also then u will get some improvements cuz that will play a more part in this situation than the patch.

its fine but u must have missed something or any steps.
Here are the steps again:
So… Open the folder C: > Windows > System32 > drivers > etc
1 – Open “hosts” file in notepad with admin privileges
2 – Type in the end of that file:
127.0.0.1 static3.cdn.ubi.com
127.0.0.1 ubisoft-orbit.s3.amazonaws.com
127.0.0.1 onlineconfigservice.ubi.com
127.0.0.1 orbitservice.ubi.com

3 – Run cmd.exe from run command in start menu
4 – Type “ipconfig /flushdns” and hit enter
5 – Open the Extracted folder and Run as Administrator the File Server.exe
Make sure you have allow this file in Windows Firewall
6 – Run the Assassins Creed 2 game using the original Shortcut created with your fresh installation
PS: run server.exe in background while you launch the game from regular shortcut.
Let the launcher to be update with ubisoft servers
7 – Disable Storage Save Games online (This is important). You must save offline
If ask for username and password type your nickname and somepassword but always use the same nickname during login

i think ur using windows vista.So dont edit ur hosts file leave as it is as i m using different os (windows 7) so i am having different lines.Just type ipconfig on cmd and hit enter not ipconfig/flushdns.
If its still not doing for you then download this torrent.This torrent contains two cracks 1) Offline server Emulator 2) Autocrack version.You should try the autocrack as ur failing to setup the offline server.I really didnt test the autocrack.So i cant give u feedback but its ur only hope for now.

Good news to the xbox 360 owners & xbox live users !
The Ubisoft has announced that a series of free dlcs will get released for the splinter cell conviction each week(for the xbox 360 users !)…
Starting from now and following on a weekly basis, a new downloadable item will be released via Conviction’s “Extras” menu for free each week for an unspecified time period….
This dlcs will contain more weapons, character skins and even a new Deniable Ops multiplayer map.
On this week, it’s the MP7A1 Machine Pistol.
Can’t wait to download those free dlcs that will get released every week !(i’m very happy cus they will be free of charge !)
Which means,it’ll be free for all the 360 gamers !

The game looks very promising to me…(by watching all those trailers & all the hands-on impressions by those gaming blogs & sites)
I think it’ll get atleast an 8 out of 10 score from those game reviewing sites…
It’s going to be published by Rockstar Games & is currently on developement by Rockstar San Diego(A division of Rockstar games & take two interactive).
And since it’s going to be developed & published by Rockstar Games(the developer of all the gta games),it’s going to be like kind of “Gta” on wild west,I think… 😛
I haven’t played it’s predecessor “Red Dead Revolver” Though,
which was released 6 years ago on xbox & ps2 by the same developer & publisher…
The game’s plot is based on wild west & John Marston is the guy who you’ll get to play as the protagonist on the game…
Although,I don’t like those wild west based games that much…
But like I said,This one looks very good & promising to me…
I hope it doesn’t prove me wrong…
Red Dead Redemption is going to release on 18th May,2010 on Xbox 360 & Ps3.
No word on any pc version yet…
And I don’t think that the game will be ported to the pc at all,since the first one didn’t…

yeah i saw it.It looks like the game “Gun” which i have played 4 or 5 years back in the pc.I also played the PSP version of gun 3 years back.Its surely is like restrained open world game like “Gun” unlike Grand Theft Auto IV.I could pick it up for the ps3.If it was for the pc then it would have been must.As,i am planning to get Fifa World Cup 2010 for my PS3.Anyway good luck and happy gaming :mrgreen:.

I played & finished the game a long ago on the pc…

But one thing I didn’t understand, 😕 If the pc version’s size is around 16 Gb,Then how come the xbox 360 version is only 7 Gb?
As far as I know,There is nothing ripped in the 360 version…
And the pc verion is same as the 360 one.It was just only ported to the pc,that’s it…

There is already a repack version released which is over 8gigs already started downloading
.Anyway i have the same thing on my mind.But the game contains both GTA IV and both the episodes as far as i know.Maybe the pc version contains much high resolution textures and videos than the 360 counterpart so thats why the size is bigger in pc version.I think of this because the repack version states that the ingame videos are compressed to 60% to make this rip possible without cutting anything out.Or maybe 360 version of the game had to be compressed due to less space on the 360 disc and they were not interested on a double disc game.Anyway good luck and happy gaming as always :mrgreen:.

maybe you’ve somehow touched the save files or having problems with logging procedure.Try system restore to get to earlier point in time to get back the files or use any relevant software.

yeah finished ac2 🙂 🙂 actualy finished it last week, but i was busy with sum xams so didnt hav time to visit gwbd. it took about 40 hrs of gameplay as i wanted to get all the seals, glymphs and view points, only the feathers nd sum side missions r left. amazing game, one of the best i hav ever played…thanks to all from gwbd specialy rabbi nd sng425 for helping me with the crak…my semester finals ar close so wil not be able to play any new games for few months so kip us updated with latest news about splintercell and pop forgoten sands for pc nd hopefully they will be out (with working crak or server emu) by mid of june so i can play….nd cud anybody help me with a problem in gta4, my screen starts shaking after sum time when playing the game as if niko is really drunk and any car i m in starts smoking wid out any damage… i googled the problem nd found out that its a anti piracy measure but a frend of mine finished it with the same dvd i used, wid out any problem….so dont no whats rong …

Maybe you’re not signing in with the same username And that’s why you’re having problem…

Didn’t know that the pc version contains both episodes & Gta IV as well !
The 360 version doesn’t….
If I combine those two game’s size it’ll be like 15 GB,Which is almost close to the pc version’s size !
btw…As far as I know,Nothing is ripped or compressed in the 360 version of the game…
And that’s what surprises me the most,If there is nothing ripped or compressed,then how come the size differs so much with the pc version !
But as you mentioned above,The pc version contains both of these games,I think that’s why size is so big in the pc version !

If you’re a hardcore splinter cell fan,then I would recommend you to play it on the 1st day of it’s release(Although,I know that it won’t be possible on the pc platform to play it on the 1st day due to the infamous “DRM” of Ubisoft !)
But I still highly recommend you to play it !

its my save file directory but if ur using 32bit os cut this part from the line “(x86)”

Bro,my save is the game completed one.If you need the game complete save game i can help.You can only create 3 sessions in Assassins Creed II and the game progress is saved automatically.So,i dont have the save file you ask for 🙁 as that progress you specified is overwritten way back by the later autosaves.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 2(Pc Version) has finally got cracked by Skidrow !
The game is now playable without any help of the offline server emulator… 😛
Word on the street is,Some gamers were having problem on playing the game using the offline server emulator,But Since it’s got cracked now,They won’t be having any problem anymore,Now they can play the game easily using the crack !
The interesting thing is,Skidrow has also left a “Special Note” for Ubisoft !
That “Special Note” looks like this –
“Thank you Ubisoft, this was quiete a challenge for us, but nothing stops the leading force from doing what we do. Next time focus on the game and not on the DRM. It was probably horrible for all legit users. We just make their life easier.”
They also mentioned this one on the release note-

Bro,Try Using the Skidrow version,I think it’ll work !
This one is a lot more easier than the server emulator proccess…
In fact,You’ll just have to copy & paste the crack to play the game,like you do on any other pirated game which is released by those scene groups !

You can download it off the internet or get it from those dvd shops if you have a slow internet connection.
Although, I would recommend you to download it, So that you can make sure that the one you’re downloading is the Skidrow one !

its the scene group release so we cant predict or know where you find them.I understand that as you are not familiar with downloading so you dont know about those scene groups.So try the SKIDROW crack with the old dvd’s you got (link is posted above).But i am adamant that this crack will work.If it doesnt work then look for new release in shops like IT NEXT or BLA BLA BLA 😆 simple as that.

i tried the SKIDROW crack with the old release and it worked.No login procedure straight to game.So the crack is really convenient and maybe it will fix Kawser save file missing issues.So now you could give it a shot with your old dvd’s.As it works.

Just finished the single player campaign of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell : Conviction last night.
The game has a total of 11 missions. The average gamplay of the single player mode is 6-7 hours.
And The game has 3 different difficulty levels. The first one is the easiest one, Named as “Rookie” & then the second one “Normal” & lastly the hardest one called “Realistic”.
Like the previous titles on the series, This one is also based on Sam Fisher, The main protagonist of all the splinter cell titles. But in the previous titles,we used to know Sam Fisher as a government agency’s secret agent, But in this one Sam isn’t a secret agent anymore, And he has also gone rogue in this one. The story is followed up by the previous one.
In Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent, We saw that Sam’s daughter Sarah was killed by a car accident. But later Sam finds out that his daughter wasn’t killed in an accident,And in fact, She was murdered by someone to take revenge on Sam fisher.
But Sam isn’t going to let it go that easily, He also plans to take revenge for his daughter’s murder, No matter what comes in his way or whoever comes in his way.
And this is what Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell : Conviction is all about.
The new mark & execute feature is great. It allows you to shoot enemies automatically by pressing a single button.
Sure it adds a great new experience for the gamers.
And some stealth techniques are also added in this one.Like now you can stealth kill your enemy from above,Which is called “Death from above”. And also you can grab an enemy from a an edge & throw him down.
But still Stealth is somewhat “compromised” in the whole game.
Unlike the previous games,You’ll have to do a lot of shooting in this one, Even if you don’t want to.
And Sam also doesn’t kill his enemy with the knife anymore. In fact, You won’t even find the knife as a weapon on the game.
And you’ll only have to use the silenced pistol to stay stealthy & silent in the whole game. Which is very frustrating for the stealth-action game fans.
Although, You can always go loud by using the Shotgun, Assault rifles, Smgs etc.
But that really doesn’t gives you the fun of a stealth-action shooter.
And that’s why it’s been highly critisized by some gamers who didn’t liked this “new” Sam fisher…

Yeah, I’m thinking of writing a full review for Gwb. But still It won’t be possible before late June since the gaming wiz is the only one who handles this things.
But he isn’t available right now due to his on going exams…
And I also do have my final semester exams coming up on July-August…

And yeah, Dormine hacked the drm first, But actually he didn’t made any crack, He just made the offline server emulator that can play AC 2…
But that was kind of critical & complicated & most of the gamers weren’t familiar with it.
So the result turns out to be like this,Almost half of the AC 2 players got stuck at running the game and they couldn’t be able to play the game at all !
One of the example is Robi, At first he couldn’t play the game using the server emulator, But after using the Skidrow crack, Now he can play it without any problem !
Like robi a lot of Bangladeshi players also had this problem.
But hopefully the Skidrow crack will now fix the problem for them !

The Bad:
Campaign is short and easy No voice or text chat in co-op play Bugs, glitches, and connection issues Stealth options are stripped compared to previous games Interrogations are a missed opportunity.
So, I can see: Bugs, connection issues, and multilayer’s some missing option dampen Conviction’s great storytelling and violent executions. So, next patch will solve all the problem I think.

Its the score of the pc version of Splinter Cell: Conviction @Gamespot.This version received lower score due to bugs and online issues in this platform.But the game is awesome no question about it :mrgreen:.

Didn’t checked out the pc version’s review @ Gamespot, And that’s why I had the confusion.
Gamespot only reviews the legal version of the game. If you play using the legal copy, You’ll have to be online 24/7 for the drm.
And that’s why it got 6.5.
In fact, The only & main reason of getting 6.5 is because of the drm.
If other features were the main problem, Then the console version wouldn’t get 8.0 at all !

Loving both of them 🙂 AC2 is much better in all ways thn SC:C
In SC:C shooting is not that satisfactory because the aiming could be much better. And movement (walking) is not that slick. But over all this game giving me fun.

I don’t know why are you feeling that, Cus aiming is perfect in the xbox 360 version, I almost encountered every single enemy with a headshot using the xbox 360 controller.
And Since you’re playing it on the pc, Aiming should be more easier using a mouse rather than the xbox 360 controller’s right stick or axis(call it whatever you want !).
And if you perform hand to hand executions to gain ability to perform mark & execute, You really won’t have to manually shoot that much.
Cus the mark & execute feature gets it done for you.
Also, In order to unlock pec challenges,which gives you those points to upgrade your weapons & gadgets, You’ll also have to perform this things throughout the entire game progress.
Otherwise, You won’t be able to upgrade your weapons & gadgets through the weapon stashes !
In overall, You’ll have to perform a lot of hand to hand executions as shooting as well in order to succeed in the whole game.
However, I haven’t played the pc version of SC: Conviction yet, So I really can’t tell anyone about the shooting mechanism of SC: Conviction’s PC Version, As some game differs a lot from the console version to pc version.
But still, According to the Xbox 360 version, The whole shooting experience of SC : Conviction was alright to me.
I don’t know why are you saying that ! Maybe Somehow you got used to some of those clunky third person shooting game’s aiming mechanism, And that’s why SC: Conviction’s shooting doesn’t seem right to you ! And because of that you’re blaming the game !

Gamespot did give Assassins Creed II 9/10 which i believe is what the game deserves.But if ur talking about the pc version then i think Gamespot gave it what it deserves again right on the money.It was the Ubi’s new drm and some online issues that caused it to get lower score and i agree with gamespot on that occasion like i always been.

Guys, I’ve bought the SC: Conviction, and sorry to say it didn’t meet my expectation. There’s no point of introducing an Iraqi battlefield to a stealth game like this. And the enemies are stupid enough for me to complete the levels in one try.
Though the interaction between the player and the environment is awesome! And I love the interrogation sessions. Still it isn’t quite what I expected.
But this isn’t my final reaction, I’ve only completed 3 or 4 levels. Let me finish the whole game, then I’ll unleash my final verdict.

bro,i have completed the game in 1 and half days even though i didnt want to play it at this time but the temptation got over me and this game rocked for me imo.Bro,the kind of missions you looking for are in the later stages in the game.I was shell shocked seeing your feedback.You should have known that Sam Fisher has gone rogue in this one.And how come the enemies seemed stupid to you.The enemies were so good it took everything out of me to finish all the missions.I cant just go run and gun in this game.What difficulty are you playing in bro.Maybe the difficulty is the reason for the stupid enemies.Still it isnt your final verdict i know you will change your thoughts about the game after completing it.And it boring to have every mission a stealth type there should be some new recipes needed to be cooked and ubi did it and its the iraqi battlefield.Anyway good luck happy gaming :mrgreen:!

I guess, you’re right, That mission(Iragi Battlefield) really doesn’t go well with the game’s stealth action genre.
And the most surprising thing is, You won’t even get to perform a single stealth kill throughout the whole mission. You’ll have to use heavy firepower in order to complete the mission. And that’s why I mentioned this line on my mini-review – “You’ll have to do a lot of shooting in this one, Even if you don’t want to.”
Although, I didn’t understand why did the enemies seem “stupid” to you. I was also kinda shocked like Rabbi after watching the last line of your feedback.
Maybe it’s because you’re playing it on the easiest difficulty. Believe me, You’ll have a hard time defeating the enemy if you play the game on “Realistic” Difficulty.
I’ve played it on the realistic difficulty & It was quite challenging to me.

Finished the game 2 days ago, the game was really addictive, and when I started to really enjoying myself the game finishes. I think the game was really short. I was hoping for more missions with more various locations. Though the available missions were full of adrenaline rushed pure action.
Now that I finished the game, I really want to try the other features of this game, like denial ops(what is it? can any one explain), co-op and multiplayer. And I really want to know how to play multiplayer in split screen on my pc.

Finished da game AC:2, loved every moment of it….
Such a realistic environment is very hard to found on any game.
Cons: AI makes me laugh at it. AC:2 is very very easy, I expected some challenge at list on last mission (like AC:1).
I wish if AC:2 could have more economic activities….
It would be more wonderful if they could bring some thing more interesting then Alien involvement. I don’t know what else it could be, but I’m sure there are many people more creative then me.

Bro, It’s not about how old are you or in which platfrom are you playing or how long you’ve been playing video games.
It’s all about how experienced gamer you are, What knowledge do you have about gaming & how skilled you are at gaming.
I’ve been also playing video games from my early childhood, And to till now I’ve played a lot of games in a variety of platforms.
And so far, I had experience of playing in these platforms –
PC, Playstation 3 , Playstation 2 , Sony PSP , Nintendo DS, Xbox 360.
Obviously, These are the new generation consoles & handhelds from current generation era. But I also do have experience of playing in these old generation & retro platforms like –
Sega megadrive (a.k.a Sega Genesis), Playstation 1 , Gameboy, Gameboy advance, Xbox 1, Super Nintendo Entertainment system(A.k.a SNES), Nintendo 64, Sega Dreamcast etc.
And I’ve played thousands of titles across this platforms, Including those best rated games from Gamespot, IGN etc.
But still I don’t claim myself a so called “Hardcore gamer” or something like that.
And as long as talking about hitman, I’ve also played all the hitman titles on pc, And like I said, I’m a stealth action game’s freak, So all the hitman titles are also on my favorite stealth action game’s list.
But when I first played Hitman Codename 47, Which is the 1st hitman title on the series & was released 10 years ago from now, I wasn’t really that much impressed with it’s shooting mechanism, And I can still remember that.
Better not to mention, the whole shooting experience was kind of clunky & wasn’t that fun. But since it was a stealth action game, That thing really doesn’t matter to me. I enjoyed the game very much. And the same thing also goes for the later sequels of the game in the series.
And it’s not just only me, Almost every gamer felt that while playing the game.
I don’t know why does the shooting of Hitman seems so fun to you. And I also don’t know, What excuses are you gonna make after reading it, But one thing is sure, bro. You really can’t say that the whole shooting experience of hitman is fun.
And if you say that, I believe Almost every gamer out here is gonna disagree with you in this matter.
And talking about the scores, Almost every hitman title(Excluding Hitman Codename 47) got a good score from those game reviewing sites, But there is no point to think that, It got the score for it’s shooting mechanism. It got the score because all the other basic elements(especially stealth) of the game were good. And in total, It summed up pretty well & that’s why it got that good score from those game reviewing sites.

It’s good to know that you’ve already completed the game,bro. Although, That news really didn’t surprised me since the single player campaign of the game is only 6 hours in average ! I hope you had fun playing the game !
I recently got my hands on Dead to Rights : Retribution & currently playing it right now !
This game has improved a lot from it’s predecessor, And in fact, it’s really fun than the previous two titles on the series.
The previous two titles were disgusting & ridiculous. Although, I didn’t played the second one, Since the first one got me so angry & I just threw it away (stopped playing it!)after playing the first few chapters of the game.
But this one is really promising & is not that bad at all. And this time you also get to play as Shadow as well as Jack Slate.
I’ve been playing the game for the last few days & now I’m on the 6th chapter of the game.
The game is good but not great. But still, I’m enjoying this one a lot, Especially those brutal kills by Shadow are just great. I Hope to finish it soon !

I didn’t noticed the question you asked previously, Out here in GWB & that’s the reason of replying lately.
Anyway, Lets get to the point, Deniable ops is a feature In Tom Clancy’s Splinter cell : Conviction, Where you get to play either as a “Kestrel” & or an “Archer” throughout various maps including two game modes.
And as long as I remember, 1st one is called “Hunter’ & the 2nd one is called “Last man stand”.(Correct me if I’m wrong!).
Each of the mode contains it’s own rules & you’ll get to know it as soon as you start playing it.
And talking about the co-op multiplayer, It features another great story & you should probably check it out with a friend of yours ! It can be played either online or even offline with the split-screen multiplayer option.
But I can’t tell you how to do it, Since I didn’t played the pc version of the game.
In the xbox 360 version, you need two separate xbox 360 controllers to play the split-screen co-op multiplayer feature of the game. Otherwise, You can also go online to play on xbox live, But that requires a valid xbox live gold subscription.
That’s it, It’s all I can tell you about this game.

isnt assassins creed a triology?

Absolutely not, If I’m not wrong. Because As long as I remember, The creative director of all the Assassin’s Creed titles, “Patrice Désilets” announced in an Interview with gamespot that the Assassin’s Creed series isn’t a trilogy (like Tom clancy’s Splinter cell series!)& it’ll continue the story of Desmond Miles(like they are doing with Sam Fisher!) through this sequels as long they don’t get a negative response from all the gamers & Assassin’s Creed fans !
However, I watched that interview a long ago(Maybe it was from the previous year’s E3!) & can’t remember it exactly. So, I really can’t share anymore info about it. But I’m sure that Assassin’s Creed series isn’t a triology.

good to hear that.I thought it was a triology.It means for assassins creed :mrgreen:!But the same formula will be stale one day so they need to nourish it properly.

I think you’re right, It may get stale one day if they continue feeding the same thing again & again. But that depends on “Corey May” the writer of this awesome video game series, Who is also going to write the 3rd one in the series.
However, I’ve been really enjoying the story of Desmond Miles as it is progressing through this sequels, And I really want to know who is going to be the third ancestor of Desmond Miles in Assassin’s Creed 3.
Previous two ancestors, Ezio & Altair were really great, And I hope that the new (Egyptian!) assassin that will be featured on AC 3 will be better than the previous two.
Anyway, Can’t wait, I’m really excited about these one ! But unfortunately, We might have to wait a little bit longer for the release of it, Since the upcoming Assasin’s Creed : Brotherhood is going to release this year it may release a little bit lately. But either way, I’m also happy that Ezio is going to accompany us in Assassin’s Creed : Brotherhood, Till its(Assassin’s Creed 3)release !
