all the PSN updates are mandatory?
Jan 27th, 2011 at 6:25 pm
@ wiz
well will it disable the CFW’s….
Jan 27th, 2011 at 7:16 pm
@Fahim
yeah it does but it wont be long before 3.56 custom firmware comes out. A ps3 hacker named kakaratoo already cracked the keys of the new firmware expect the new custom firmware soon. For the moment it is advised to stay on the 3.55 firmware and not to update or go online. All current games are playable on 3.55 to say the least so no issues playing offline. Only feature missing is the ability to go online in the 3.55 firmware at the moment.

Update: Tested on xbox live it shows open nat without the need for even configuring the modem
Feb 10th, 2011 at 6:01 pm
@Rabbi,
thats really good. I hope we can join parties now. BTW I told SOF to import some 3month gold cards and SOF will get the cards tomorrow. Nadim Electronics didn’t help..Anyway the shopkeeper at SOF had lots of 3 month cards but he sold them to some people for only tk300, he had no idea about the price..when 1 or 2 were left , his assistants told him the original price…they now sell it for tk1500…hope they get the delivery soon…
Feb 10th, 2011 at 6:02 pm
by delivery i mean , the list of stuff they save to import.
Feb 10th, 2011 at 8:19 pm
@ offcutter
man i blew my power adapter of my arcade the day i brought it to BD……the supply volt in US is 110V and in BD its 220V……so u need to buy a new adapter(wich i did, i bought it from KSA during my holiday)….and the converters are awfully big……..
Feb 10th, 2011 at 8:20 pm
@ Rabbi

Feb 10th, 2011 at 9:06 pm

Update: Earlier “TheGamingWiz” and “xlivnt” mentioned that assassins creed brotherhood takes around 5min to get a match on their end. But i was shccked cuz it took around 10sec to get a match in btcl with no lag btw. All games are lag free in xbox live due to the great ping times and high upload speeds 😎 and most importantly for the open nat
Feb 11th, 2011 at 1:26 am
@Rabbi,
GOOD results!! I’m missing my old internet 😥 , it was faster than your net, but the pings weren’t that good. Whenever I find a match on AC:B i play with the same group again by clicking rematch. 😛
We’ve got a very good net for online gaming now, hopefully I’m gonna get gold today.
Feb 11th, 2011 at 2:55 am
@xlivnt
speeds are way more than that at night it was 340KB/sec at times 😎 let me know when u redeem ur gold successfully then we could game online at last 🙂
Feb 11th, 2011 at 4:58 am
@Rabbi
Well those are some very good speeds, especially the ping and upload. I’m thinking really hard of switching to BTCL. Anyway, how was the setup experience? Was the staff friendly? And do you get disconnects?
@Everyone
Well, I’m finally arrived yesterday in BD safe and sound. Nevertheless, my mind is still operating in US time zone and I sleep during the day and stay up all night. 🙄 Hopefully, I’ll get back to GWBD in a day or two.
@Sng425
Bro, special thanks to you. I see all articles have been written by you during my absence. I’m very grateful. 🙂
Feb 11th, 2011 at 1:54 pm
@Rabbi,
I got over 700KB/s once. 😉 I could dload some movies in only 20mins using IDM.
“let me know when u redeem ur gold successfully then we could game online at last”
I’ll definitely let you know. I called SOF and they didn’t receive the cards yet. These days I just go online and download trial games like worms armageddon,bomberman live & battlefest, tmt racer.. Oh I also got the DLCs for AC:B..
Feb 11th, 2011 at 2:03 pm
@TheGamingWiz
its good to know u have arrived in bd safely hope u will come back to the site sooner rather than later. Maybe ur suffering from insomnia 😛 Anyway, yeah the emem systems staff were friendly and it has minor disconnection problem not that much and the only disadvantage i could find. They dont monitor their services very well so u could see some speed burst at any time of the day. But to note my home is within 1.5 km of the SBN exchange and that is one of the main reasons of getting good speeds. I heard services in Gulshan and banani is better than the SBN exchange. Make sure there are no noises in ur phone and its crystal clear and if ur within 2km of the exchange then rejoice for some good service Over 2km the service will be good but not as good as the former. The wiring quality also play a part in the connection. But one way or another online gaming is a blast and download speeds are around 160+ in idm 🙂
Feb 11th, 2011 at 2:04 pm
@xlivnt
good to know 😉 maybe ur missing those great speeds 🙄 for the sake of online gaming 😥
Feb 11th, 2011 at 2:48 pm
@The Gaming Wiz/Mushfiqur Rahman
🙂
@Rabbi
Sounds great! 😛 I hope the SBN exchange is within 2Km from my house. 😉
Feb 11th, 2011 at 7:06 pm
@sng425
its available in chittagong as well so i think u sud take it. The connection doesnt have disconnection problems the only disadvantage is the line dropping 😕
Feb 11th, 2011 at 7:06 pm
doesnt have adsl link disconnection problem*
Feb 11th, 2011 at 10:47 pm
@Rabbi,
maybe your right. And I never have disconnection issues while on XBL just sometimes the link drops for few minute.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 2:06 am
@rabbi
bro what does stand for SOF? which in UAE market, banani. i am thinking about to call them for PC orginal games.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 2:52 am
@nfsking
I don’t even know what does “SOF” stand for. And, as far as i know SOF doesn’t sell original PC games. You can try asking them to import it for you.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 3:34 am
@rabbi
oh no 😥 i thought SOF sell orginal PC games.btw are they gonna import for me?
Feb 12th, 2011 at 12:12 pm
@nfsking
They may but i am not sure because, they just import console stuffs as far as i have seen. There is a very slim chance but if they do be prepared to pay a premium.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 1:27 pm
@nfsking,
The other day I saw their list and it included only console stuffs. But I’m pretty sure they’ll import it for you if you ask them to.

@Rabbi
Thanks for your recommendation, I Previously asked them about a connection(which was roughly around 5 months ago) and they said that the connection they are going to give me will be shared and won’t be dedicated. And that’s why I receded from getting the connection.
But things must have been changed by now as you’re saying the connection you got is dedicated. I’ll contact them very soon, let’s see what they say.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 3:28 pm
Jeah party time! The Gaming Wiz has entered the building! Booyah! 😛
Feb 12th, 2011 at 3:55 pm
@sng425
but remember there are a lot of factors behind a good connection. Still their TOS said maximum speed possible not dedicated and it also said 25% upload speed but i am getting more due to poor monitoring and other factors even on this infamous SBN exchange
@gamerkid
still to enter the building 😛 cuz he is suffering from insomnia 🙄
Feb 12th, 2011 at 4:00 pm
@sng425
you can check this forum for more info about BTCL btw check the dates cuz btcl has changed quite a bit. For latest posts check back the last pages of the forum.

Feb 12th, 2011 at 4:08 pm
@Rabbi
I might consider a move to BTCL but the problem is with their technology which requires telephone to work. At the moment I get only around 55kb/s with my current ISP.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 4:13 pm
@Rabbi
good to know that your downloading TDU 2. 😉
Feb 12th, 2011 at 4:19 pm
@xlivnt
still u could check that forum out if you are thinking of moving to btcl but as ur using a dsl line adsl wont be much different and to note u can use both the phone and the internet at the same time. I had to download something for testing my new connection and due to no new games available right now as i completed dead space 🙄 so i had to download Test Drive Unlimited 2 for pc.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 4:49 pm
@Rabbi
I know that you can use the internet and telephone at the sametime. I’d check that forum out. And I thought you were downloading TDU 2 for xbox 360.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 4:51 pm
I’d check it out If i have trouble playing online with my current ISP so far it’s ok.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 5:13 pm
@xlivnt
i dont play most of my games in xbox, its just i divide them out. I play some on pc,some on xbox and some on ps3. To note i play most multiplatform games on pc and those exclusive ones on ps3 and xbox respectively.
Feb 12th, 2011 at 5:54 pm
@ Rabbi
im moving in to BTCl from april………
Feb 12th, 2011 at 9:50 pm
@Fahim
i thought u already moved to btcl before me 😕 anyway good luck on that 😉
Feb 12th, 2011 at 10:37 pm
@ rabbi
thmx for the good luck…and i was gna but i have my bill paid for march on blion..so dnt wanna waste the money…..
Feb 13th, 2011 at 6:10 pm
@rabbi
can u tell me about western union to pay play-asia.com payment?
Feb 13th, 2011 at 6:40 pm
@nfsking
i think the moderator of our site i.e Musfiq will be able to help you out on that one, cuz he has imported original games through play-asia numerous times. As i have never imported games through play-asia i should skip on that one.
Feb 13th, 2011 at 9:02 pm
@ nfsking
u r gna hav a hard tym importing games without a credid card….. 😥 😥 😕 😕
Feb 14th, 2011 at 2:26 am
@TheGamingWiz
i forgot to tell u something. The only thing about the setup experience is that after they activate ur internet connection in the telephone exchange the setup is simple just connect the adsl modem to ur computer and enjoy the internet and u dont need to wait for emem staff to come to ur house and set it up for u but u will need ur username and pass for the ppoe dialer btw. They came late cuz i subscribed at 23rd of january but they chose february as the month of connection and i didnt get any adsl charge for january and that made sense. They took a bit over a week to set up my connection on that sense.
Feb 14th, 2011 at 1:32 pm
BTCL only gives their connections at the starting of the month……..and if u call them at 15 they’ll tell u they’ll b there by 7 days..but its not true….they’re gna cum at yhe beggining of the next month…………..
