EA Games president Frank Gibeau comments the PC user base “is gigantic,” and admits that while PC retail is flagging the digital business is “awesome”. Read more here.
Remedy’s said the decision to cancel the PC version of Alan Wake did not come from them. “I can’t really discuss that,” Remedy’s Markus Maki told CVG at GDC when asked why it was canned on PC. “I will say that it wasn’t a technological call. And it wasn’t made in Finland.” Read more here.

Activision has said that the Modern Warfare 3 countdown website that appeared online yesterday is a hoax. The publisher added that it’s equally unaware of the promotional dogtags that were dispatched to the press. The dogtags referenced both the countdown website and characters from the Modern Warfare series. Read more here.
