Alan Wake PC Cancellation Decision Not Made By Remedy
Remedy’s said the decision to cancel the PC version of Alan Wake did not come from them. “I can’t really discuss that,” Remedy’s Markus Maki told CVG at GDC when asked why it was canned on PC. “I will say that it wasn’t a technological call. And it wasn’t made in Finland.” Read more here.

You can rest easy now. Gears of War 3 has a release date – September 20 2011 is the date Gears of War 3 releases worldwide according to Microsoft’s Graeme Boyd. Except for Japan where it releases on the 22nd.

New PS3 Jailbreak Allows Gamers To Undo PSN Bans
Following Sony’s move to block PS3 hackers from the console’s online functions, a new jailbreak has been released which reportedly allows users to unban themselves on PSN. Reports of the platform holder banning jailbreak users began appearing on Thursday, after Sony released a warning to anyone taking advantage of hacks. Read more here.

Research Says Gears Of War 3 Is 2011’s ‘Most Anticipated Game’
Market research firm Ipsos has labelled Gears of War 3 2011’s most anticipated game. The firm released a chart of the most anticipated titles of the year across the UK and US ranked by purchase intent, and Epic’s game topped the bill in both markets. Read more here.
