Alan Wake PC Cancellation Decision Not Made By Remedy

Remedy’s said the decision to cancel the PC version of Alan Wake did not come from them.

“I can’t really discuss that,” Remedy’s Markus Maki told CVG at GDC when asked why it was canned on PC. “I will say that it wasn’t a technological call. And it wasn’t made in Finland.”

  1. it’s pretty obvious it wasn’t done by remedy, had it been released on the pc then remedy would have made more profit. But for MS it would have been a big lose…why??? simply because the ppl who have ps3 and a pc , can play the game on their pc…games are called exclusive for reason..same goes with gears of war series, gow2 didn’t make it way to pc because of the same reason..

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Microsoft rode it high on the fact that Alan Wake would be a blockbuster hit and sell a lot of Xbox 360s. Now Alan Wake is a really good game, but it didn’t sell as much as MS hoped it would. I would say MS to wait and then finally release an Alan Wake PC version. People should play it, not only console owners.

hmm, alan wake is too good a game to miss for any gamer. But then there is the word ‘exclusive’, we all wanna freaking play uncharted, kill zone on our PC or xbox 360 but we can’t. I believe MS would have made alan wake 2 by combining the two dlcs and adding some more gameplay or they would have made an alan wake xbox 360 bundle. Well maybe not a good idea with the bundle cause the game itself doesn’t have multiplayer capabilities. Well I for want would like to see alan wake release on pc, cause i wanna see my fellow pc gamers enjoy the game. Moreover, you can get free pc dlc from torrents.
